'FATHER FORGETS' SHORT FILM
A short film based on the poem by w. livingston larned.
Father Forgets is based off of the poem, Father Forgets, by W. Livingston Larned and is a reminder of the innocence of youth, and the unawareness of adulthood. More than that, it’s a beautiful tribute to the importance of relationships – the importance of words and actions; the value of a look, a touch, the tone of voice and the compassion needed to really communicate with one another.

'CHASING YOURSELF: JEFF TERWILLIGER' SHORT FILM
A short film profiling Minnesota speed skater, Jeff Terwilliger. In collaboration with Hickey Photography. Filmed on location at the Guidant John Rose MN Oval. The Guidant John Rose MN OVAL is a unique outdoor recreation facility with 110,000 square feet of refrigerated ice from November to March. The Oval has a 400 meter speed skating track, and is one of the premiere speed skating venues in North America. They host several competitions each year. Their refrigeration system allows them to maintain high quality ice throughout the OVAL season.
62-year-old Jeff has been skating competitively through US Speed Skating for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he competed at the national level as an inline racer for over 25 years. Jeff trains three to four times a week at the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL with coach Lisa Hambly. He skates 75 minutes on the ice with two other Masters skaters. He does a set workout afterwards. On Saturday mornings, he typically races two distances. Currently, he ranks first nationally in all metric distances for his age group (AG60) and is among the top 10 speed skaters in the world. His accomplishment at the Open USA Masters Championships in Salt Lake City in late 2022 established him as a 2x Championship Record Master in the 1500 meter and 5000 meter races. In other words, he either established the record, holds the record currently, or both.
It may have been cold outside, but our small crew was tethered to the track. All fascinated by the negotiation between balance, rhythm and speed as we watched Jeff swing his arms and crossover the long-bladed skates, masterfully maneuvering the curve of his next lap.

'Wooden Craft Culture' Great Norther Boatworks
A short film celebrating the spirit, dedication, tradition and craftsmanship behind rebuilding and restoring wooden watercraft. In collaboration with Great Northern Boatworks and Hickey Photography.
Tim attended boatbuilding school to learn some basic woodworking skills. Russel began repairing boats in his father's marina and marine repair shop in Killarney, Ontario. Jonno worked for twenty years as a violin maker and restorer. Nate was classically trained in traditional boatbuilding and restoring boats in Maine. Together, these are the craftsmen behind Great Northern Boatworks. As a harmonious unit, they continue the legacy of combining the old, timeless traditions of wooden boat building, while also bringing it into the modern era.
